Currently Reading: The Artist Unique by Carmen Torbus

I have been so engulfed with making jewelry and coming up with unique jewelry pieces that I have not spent any time on drawing or painting. So to satisfy this neglected part of my creative soul I located my sketchbook in the hopes of filling the pages with something but instead I just stared at the blank page for minutes with no inspiration. Finding this somewhat alarming I decided to venture to the local book store for inspiration and stumbled upon this book:

This book was love at first sight and filled with a plethora of ideas on how to create your own style within your artwork using various mixed media techniques. "Your own style" now that is something that I have never spent much time thinking about before but will definitely take note of in my future sketches and paintings. I seriously can't wait to put some of these tricks and tips into action. Until next time, allow inspiration to find you!
