How to Make Pins from Small Charms
While cleaning out my jewelry stash I stumbled upon some small charms. Now knowing that I wasn't going to wear them on a necklace and I didn't necessarily want to discard of them...what's a girl to do? Turn them into pins of course! If you would like to know how I turned these small charms into pins, just continue reading.
MATERIALS: small charms of your liking, 4mm flat posts with clutch, E6000 glue, wire cutters and a metal file
STEPS
1) Taking your wire cutters and metal file, remove any bails/ loops/ or hooks that may be on the charm and file any rough edges down.
2) You should now have something similar to the picture.
3) Taking your E6000 glue and 4mm flat posts, glue the charms onto the flat posts and let dry.
4) You should now have something similar to the picture.
5) Trim the flat post down to 1/4 an inch and file smooth with metal file.
6) Now you have pins ready for wear!
Until next time, let inspiration find you!
