Sweet Treat: Dark Chocolate Fudge
Usually around Christmas time I have a yearning for fudge and I couldn't wait to make it this year. If you'd like to know how I made the delicious dark chocolate fudge below, just continue reading.
Dark Chocolate Fudge
Makes about 2 pounds
Ingredients
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup milk chocolate morsels
1 14-ounce can Eagle brand sweetened condensed milk
dash salt
1 cup shelled chopped walnuts
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
1) In a heavy sauce pan - over low heat - melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt
2) Remove from heat and stir in walnuts and vanilla
3) Spread evenly onto into a wax paper lined 8 or 9 inch square pan
4) Chill for 2 hours or until firm
5) Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off paper and cut into squares
6) Serve and enjoy!
For any remaining pieces just store loosely covered at room temperature
