How to Make Magazine Holders

So last month I was stuck home from work due to snow storms and really had nothing to do. To fill this void I decided I would organize my art and crafts books as well as try to get those little scraps of paper that I doodle designs and ideas on all organized into one place. After doing some purging and organizing I realized that I needed magazine holders. 

Since this year I decided I would try to buy less and make more, I decided to create my own magazine holders. While searching google I stumbled upon this tutorial on a blog called "A Bowl Full of Lemons" in which the author used shipping boxes to make magazine holders. Below are close up pictures of the magazine holders I created using this tutorial which include front/ back/ and side views.

I'm undecided on what color or how I want to decorate these holders, so for the time being I'm just going to leave them on the shelf back side exposed. Until next time, allow inspiration to find you!
