DIY: Decoupage Egg Crate

I know I'm late on the egg crate trend/ craze but I still wanted to share this simply DIY that can be done using materials that you already have in the home. If you would like to know how to make one for yourself, just continue reading.

MATERIALS: empty egg crates, scrapbook paper, mod podge, paintbrush, ruler, scissors and a x-acto knife

STEPS

1) Using the x-acto knife and with the egg crate facing down, cut off the last column of two crates on both ends of the egg crate.

2) You should now have something similar to the picture below.

3) This is a front view of the above image. Using the scissors, you're going to smooth out the sides by cutting off the excess styrofoam and rounding the corners.

4) You should now have something similar to the picture below.

5) Rip or cut your scrapbook paper into small pieces and using the paintbrush and mod podge adhere the pieces to the egg crate. Remember to smooth out the pieces in order to avoid air bubbles.

6) And here is the completed project with front and back views!

Until next time, let inspiration find you!
