How to Pencil Transfer an Image

 Sometimes when I'm just doodling without a care in the world, I tend to come up with these amazing pieces on napkins, newspaper or just tattered scraps of paper. When I want to copy these doodles into a sketchbook, I typically use the pencil transfer method. If you would like to know how to pencil transfer an image in just three simple steps, just continue reading.

MATERIALS

Image for transfer, pencil, embossing/ tracing tool, sketchbook/ paper or canvas

STEPS

1) Flip image over and using pencil trace or sketch over the outline of the image.

2) Flip image right side up and place on sketchbook page or canvas in a position you like. Now grab your embossing/ tracing tool and begin tracing the outline of the image.

3) You should now have a perfect pencil transfer of your image.
